Description:This was commissioned by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust following Shakespeare's nomination as "Man of the Millennium" by a BBC Radio Four listeners' poll.

The drawing is by Clive Francis, whose caricature shows the influence of Droeshout's First Folio engraving.
