Description:This partly-painted seat is made from a solid piece of a birch tree trunk. It has an arched back, a pierced carrying-handle, a solid seat and a waisted plinth base. Dug-out seats used to be known as 'treetrunk chairs'. This one is Scandinavian and dates from the 19th century. Height 780mm, Width 410mm
