Description:Burton Dassett windmill and beacon. 1930s.

The structure now known as 'The Beacon' may have been a windmill. Around 1600 it was known as 'The Lodge'. There are several references which may refer to it. The earliest being to a 'stonmilne' which was working before 1367.
