Circular coin with a central circular hole. The obverse features the monogram of Leopold II with a crown above. The date flanked by dots is below. The inscription around the outside is in dutch and reads 'KONINKRIJK BELGIE', meaning 'Kingdom of Belgium'. It is followed by two five-pointed stars. The reverse features the denomination to the right and an olive branch to the left of the central hole. Below is the name of A. Michaux, possibly the designer or engraver.
