Norwegian silver 10 ore, 1899
Diameter 13mm
The obverse features the monogram of King Oscar II of Norway and Sweden. The inscription reads 'BRODERFOLKENS VAL', meaning 'The Good of the Brother People'. The crossed hammers below the monogram is the mintmark for Kongsberg. The reverse features the National Arms for Norway. This consists of a crown above a shield bearing a lion rampant which holds an axe. The coat of arms divides the date and the denomination is above.
