English silver twopence, Maundy Set, 1838
Diameter 13mm
The obverse features the 'young head' bust of Queen Victoria facing left. The inscription reads 'VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR:REGINA F:D:', Latin, abbreviated meaning 'Victoria By the Grace of God Queen of the Britains, Defender of the Faith'. The reverse features the number '2', dividing the date, with a crown above. Both are inside a half wreath with a bow at the base.
