The obverse features the bust of Queen Victoria facing left. The inscription reads 'VICTORIA D:G: BRITANNIAR: REGINA F:D', Latin meaning 'Victoria By the Grace of God Queen of the Britains Defender of the Faith'. The date is below. The reverse features a shield bearing the three lions of England and the inscription 'STATES OF JERSEY/ 1/26 OF A SHILLING'.
