Description:Richard Quiney's financial dealings with Shakespeare in London evidently came to the attention of his father, Adrian, back in Stratford, who wrote to him about this time, advising him that 'if you should bargain with Mr Shakespeare or receive money there', then he should invest it in things he could later sell at a profit, recommending in particular knit hose which was then changing hands cheaply at Evesham.
