Description:This pad was used with a Scott-Spencer lumbar traction harness. It was used in physiotherapy treatments at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa. The harness provided spine and neck support during treatment with a Scott-Spencer Traction Table. During treatment the harness was fastened around the patient's body. Pads were used to provide comfort to the patient and then the straps were attached to the table using metal hooks. Pulling the straps apart stretched the patient's back and put them into traction.
