Description:Award of Sir John Throckmorton and others between William and Ralph Sheldon and John Throckmorton whereby the manor and all other premises in Barcheston, late the estate of William Willington, esq., were awarded to William Sheldon upon payment of £2,500 to John Throckmorton. December 5th, 7 Elizabeth I. [1564] This deed marks the end of the bitter struggle between the heirs of William Willington to secure the ownership of the manor of Barcheston.
