Description:Endorsement of Bond in £1,000 from William Barnes to John Throckmorton for indemnifying him in certain claims of William and Ralph Sheldon to the manor of Barcheston. November 19th, 1559, 2 Elizabeth I, 1559. The deed made by William Barnes, cousin of William Sheldon's father in law, was intended to prevent William and his son Ralph Sheldon from inheriting the manor of Barchseton to which they believed they had a right.
