Description:This whirligig, a postman, is made of polychrome pine, with metal shoulder joints. The postman wears a dark uniform with buttons down the front and a flat cap. Unlike the sailor or soldier whirligigs, the postman has divided legs and wooden arms. The paddles of the arms face different directions to catch the wind. It is British, perhaps late 19th/early 20th century. Height 330mm, Length 165mm, Width 905mm
