Date:1819
Description:This is an oil painting on canvas depicting The Charing Cross Arms and is signed and dated 'Harrison 1819'. This may be a men's club rather than an ordinary public house as individuals' faces have been painted with great care, suggesting they are portraits. The men smoke long clay pipes, drink and play a game which looks like dominoes with small rectangular pieces. Buildings outside the window are presumably the London skyline. Framed size Height 473mm, Width 740mm, Depth 30mm
