Description:A black and white photograph of Automotive Products after the bombing raid of 16 July 1942. The photograph shows the remains of an AP building, with much of the building's structure on display.

During the Second World War Automotive Products (AP) produced parts for aircraft and clutches for tanks and other armoured vehicles. AP's Lockheed factory was bombed twice during the war. On 13 June 1942, three building blocks were hit but production was quickly restored. The second raid took place the following month on 16 July, when several workshops were damaged and there were four fatalities. Again, Lockheed was able to quickly restore production at the site.
