Description:A letter written by Anna Eliza Jarrett to her brother, Thomas Wathen Waller, following childbirth and serious illness. Using their childhood names, she writes to 'Pothy' and signs herself 'Kittie'.

She describes her happiness at recovering and being able to visit her older daughter 'Birdie' and new born child in the nursery - she has hardly seen them since falling ill. She also writes of other domestic matters, including the marriage of her maid.
