Description:'Ancient' pot from Peru, made by the Chimu, brought from Lima in 1880.

The pot is an anthropomorphic Chimu reduction fired blackware, with press moulding decoration. The pot has a rounded oval body with applied animal head, moulded legs and a stirrup spout and was produced between 900 and 1476.
