Description:The Coat of Arms of Leamington Borough, granted 6 November 1876.

A shield divided 'per fesse' into gold and silver with a green lion rampant below three red stars. Over the lion is a blue and white chevron. All are surrounded by a blue border bearing eight fleur-de-lys. Above is the ragged staff crossed with the caduceus over a sprig of Forget-me-nots. Underneath the banner reads: 'Sola Bona Quae Honesta', Latin meaning: 'Only the things that are honourable are good'.

The division of the shield into gold and silver symbolises the manors of Leamington Priors and Newbold Comyn, which were merged to form the Borough of Royal Leamington Spa. The stars (or mullets) are from the arms of the Willes family. The green lion is from the arms of Ambrose Dudley, Earl of Warwick, who was granted the manors of Leamington Priors and Newbold Comyn by Queen Elizabeth I in 1563. The chevron is from the arms of the Fishers of Packington who inherited much of the property of Ambrose Dudley when he died in 1589. The golden fleur-de-lys are from the arms of the Clinton family, one of whose members, Geoffrey de Clinton, gave the manor of Leamington to the Priors of Kenilworth. The ragged staff of the Earls of Warwick refers to Warwickshire and the caduceus is a reference to the health giving qualities of the spa. The forget-me-nots are supposed to be the badge of the Lords of Kenilworth when Leamington was under the control of Leamington Priory.
