Description:

Belgian copper-nickel five centimes, 1906

Diameter 19mm

Circular coin with a central circular hole. The obverse features the monogram of Leopold II. It has a crown above and the date flanked by dots is below. The inscription around the outside reads 'ROYAUME DE BELGIQUE', meaning 'Kingdom of Belgium', followed by a single five-pointed star. The reverse features the denomination to the right and an olive branch to the left of the central hole. Underneath is the name of A. Michaux, possibly the designer or engraver.
