Description:Entry in the parish register, Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon, recording the burial of William Shakespeare's father, John, on 8 September 1601. His date of birth is not known, but he was probably about seventy. We do not know whether John was still living in Henley Street, or whether he had moved into New Place, which his son had purchased in 1597.
