Description:This Staffordshire-ware plate is decorated with a print based on the Chandos Portrait, surrounded by six views showing Shakespeare's Birthplace; Anne Hathaway's Cottage; a view of the River Avon looking towards the church; Holy Trinity Church; the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre and the room known as "Shakespeare's birthroom". Made by Sampson Hancock & Sons in the early twentieth-century. Identity number SBT 1998-5/8
