Description:This was commissioned by W.H. Smith Limited to commemorate the 400th anniversary in 1964 of Shakespeare's birth. It bears a copy of the Droeshout engraving of Shakespeare from the title-page of the 'First Folio' and a facsimile signature. This is surrounded by eighteen facsimile signatures of Shakespearian actors (including Sybil Thorndike, Edith Evans, Judi Dench, John Gielgud, Ralph Richardson, Michael Redgrave, and John Stride).
