Description:A British Pattern 1856 sword bayonet with a steel yataghan (curved) blade and pressed leather grips. It has a steel mounted scabbard of dark brown/black leather. The hilt is marked with a crown over an S over a 14. The blade is marked on the right side with a crown over an S over an 8. This can also be interpreted as a King's head figure if seen from another angle, 1856-1883.
