Description:A black and white photograph of the stonelaying ceremony for the Leamington Spa Art Gallery & Museum extension, 5 May 1928. Lord Elgin is speaking after laying the stone. On the platform are Town Clerk, Mr Leo Rawlinson, Mayor Alderman Alfred Holt, Lord Elgin and Councillor Lieutenant Colonel J.H.W. Southey, Chairman of the Public Library, Art Gallery and Museum Committee.
