Colour photograph of an evening class in the therapeutic pool at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa.
Therapeutic pools were used at the Pump Rooms from the late 1940s. Patients received treatment for problems caused by polio and arthritis. Increasingly from the 1970s people injured in road accidents were given therapy in the pools.
