Description:An anthology groups Shakespeare and other writings by subject for easy reference.

In part of this anthology, published in 1600, quotations from contemporary writers are grouped like a thesaurus, by their subject, which would be of assistance to writers, as well as to readers. ‘Time’ includes Edmund Spenser, Philip Sidney and George Chapman, as well as William Shakespeare.

Full title: England's Parnassus: the choysest flowers of our moderne poets [compiled by Robert Allott]. Imprinted at London for N. L[ing], C.B[urby] and Th[omas]. Hayes, 1600.
