Description:A pencil sketch of Woodcote House, Leek Wootton. The sketch dates from the mid 19th century, before the house was rebuilt in 1860/61 by Henry Christopher Wise.
Henry Christopher Wise and his wife Harriet came to live at Woodcote House in 1830, renting it first from Henry Mallory and then the Ricardo family. He inherited the Priory, Warwick, in 1850 but chose to sell the house and gardens, remaining at Woodcote which he went on to purchase in 1851.
