Description:
Colour photograph inside the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa.
View of a man receiving treatment from a male attendant in the therapeutic pool.
The therapeutic pool replaced the Ladies' pool which was originally installed in 1863 and became the Ladies' pool in 1890 when the De Normanville pool was built. In 1950 the Ladies' pool was partially filled in and a ramp was installed to create the therapeutic pool for physiotherapy treatments. In the refurbishments of 1997-1999 the therapeutic pool was converted into the Art Gallery.
