Italian States - Kingdom of Napoleon copper soldo, 1812

Diameter 27mm


The obverse features the bust of Napoleon I facing left. The inscription reads 'NAPOLEON IMPERATORE E RE', 'Napoleon, Emperor and King', with the date below. The date is flanked by two marks, possibly Privy Marks. The reverse features a crown and the inscription 'REGNO D'ITALIA', meaning 'Kingdom of Italy'. The denomination is below. At the bottom of the coin is the mintmark for Milan, 'M'.
