Description:This is an oil painting on canvas depicting Garner's The Marine Library, High Street, Margate, Kent. This view of Margate's High Street was very popular during the 19th century, and artists often worked for companies producing works for the tourist market which would generally alter little in each version. On the left are shop-like cubicles which were bathing houses. It dates from about 1820 and is by an artist of the English School. Framed size Height 930mm, Width 1180mm, Depth 60mm
