Description:This is an oil painting on canvas depicting a shooting scene, and is inscribed across the top 'City Fouler's Mark'. Another inscription across the bottom reads 'Against the wind he prudent takes his way, while the strong gale directs him to his prey, Now the warm scent assures the covey near, He treads with caution and he points with fear.... claustique expectat osellis Gay', which is a verse by John Gay. Framed size Height 494mm, Width 572mm, Depth 40mm
