Description:This bushel measure is made like a barrel, with with wooden staves held together by iron bands. It has loop handles on the rim. The bushel is an historic measure which varied according to the material being weighed and the locality, until 1826 when they were standardised as being 2,218 cubic inches or 80lbs. This measure is British, from around 1890. Height 272mm, Diameter 510mm
