Description:The Square, Dunchurch. 1930s
[This photograph is taken by the almshouses in Dunchurch. There is a slip road from the Rugby Road to the Daventry Road, this leads to the church and the war memorial and provides access to the almshouses. In the background you can see the back of Lord John Scott's statue, the side of The Dun Cow and the village cross.] [The dating has been amended from 1950s thanks to a contributor. He also stated that the ivy clad building was George Nutt's shop in the 1950-60s.] [Looking at other Victor Long postcards the negative number would also appear to date this image to the 1930s. Although his sequencing can be problematic.]
