Description:Postcard sent on 24 February 1918 from Jack to Ethel. It has a silk mesh insert which is decorated with emboidered foliage and flowers in green, yellow and purple. "TO MY DEAR SISTER FROM YOUR LOVING BROTHER" is embroided in blue. The silk mesh insert forms a pocket, which has a card inside printed with a view of a castle and "Remembrance of France". This is known as an insert card.
This card was sent to Ethel May Harrison (nee Tims). She had two brothers, Jack and Fred, who were both killed in action in World War One. They are named on the Leamington Spa War Memorial. They wrote to Ethel regularly during the war, as well as sending her souvenirs from France, such as a handkerchief and cloth case.
