Description:Postcard sent from Jack to Ethel on 9 November 1917. It has a silk mesh insert which is decorated with embroidered flowers in shades of pink and blue. "A kiss from France" is embroidered in blue. The silk mesh insert forms a pocket which has a card inside printed with "To my dear Wife". This is known as an insert card.
This card was sent to Ethel May Harrison (nee Tims). She had two brothers, Jack and Fred, who were both killed in action in World War One. They are named on the Leamington Spa War Memorial. They wrote to Ethel regularly during the war, as well as sending her souvenirs from France, such as a handkerchief and cloth case.
