ATS Uniform

Description:Khaki coloured wool jacket from an ATS uniform. It is single breasted with four brass buttons decorated with the Royal coat of arms. There are two breast pockets with smaller buttons of the same design and two pockets at the waist. There is a belt around the waist with a buckle fastening. A badge is attached to the left breast - Royal Corps Army Ordinance. A red and green braided cord runs from the right breast pocket to the epaulette. There is one brass button and one ATS badge on each epaulette. A blue felt badge with a red diagonal stripe is attached to each arm. "317093 Riches F" is inscribed inside the back collar in black ink.

The uniform belonged to Kathleen Riches who was based in Bicester.
