Description:
Bone bodkin used by Richard Dodd at Hall & Son tailors, Leamington Spa. It is pencil shaped with a turned design one end and a point at the other.
Before stitching a garment properly, tailors would use a loose stitch called a tacking stitch. This bodkin was used to remove the tacking stitch after a fitting.
