Description:

A sepia photograph of the Arboretum on Tachbrook Road. It also shows St John's Church before the spire was built.

The Arboretum was built by Dr Hitchman, in 1864, as a Hydropathic treatment centre. In 1885 it became the Midland Counties Home for Incurables.
