Description:

A black and white photograph of the Regent Garage and the site of Regent Square House, Leamington Spa.

The Regent Garage started in 1810 as Mr. King's Mews and Livery Stables where Livery Street is today. It was renamed in 1819 as the Regent Mews when the Regent Hotel was built in front of it. It became the Regent Garage in 1904 when both businesses were bought by the father of the company's former chairman. Having outgrown its old premises, it moved to Station Approach in 1978.
