Black and white photograph
220mm x 252mm
This photograph depicts two scenes at the same production, with the characters on stage. It was produced by the Czechoslovak Army Film and Photo Service. Between 1940 and 1942 the Free Czechoslovak Army was based in mid-Warwickshire, with its headquarters at Harrington House on Newbold Terrace. Performances such as the one here were put on to introduce local people to Czechoslovak culture and to entertain the troops.
