Description:An unidentified Buddhist text, from Sri Lanka.

It was incised onto a palm leaf and rubbed with lamp black, so that the blackened characters remain when the excess is removed. The book is made of two long rectangular pieces of wood and inscribed papyrus. Threads would have gone through both holes and the wood to hold it all together.
