Description:An ancient rounded black ceramic pot from Peru, brought from Lima in 1880.

The pot is anthropomorphic Chimu reduction fired blackware, with press moulding decoration. It has two small handles at the shoulder and has a neck in the form of a man's head. The sides are decorated with four moulded crocodile motifs, with each animal biting the tail of the next. It was made c.900-1476.
