Description:A wide, short, slightly curved sword with a brass handle in a leather hipster with brass fittings. The top of the blade is flat and the large guard curves slightly to the quillon. On the reverse side is printed O Mertius and the number 15 and the numerials 18 I.M.II.13 have been scratched through. The handle has an etched grooved grip. The scabbard is made of dark brown leather with a hook to slot in to a light brown hipster. On the reverse of the scabbard are the letters F.G 62 crossed through and on the reverse of the hipster is the number 2.
