Description:A flat, British, straight bladed, narrow sword with a wood and brass handle, in a metal scabbard. The blade has a ridge along the centre of both sides. The scabbard has two metal loops and the tip is rounded with a flat piece of metal at the end. The handle has a brass handprotector with lip and a dark wooden grooved grip. The sword is one of four swords taken in the Eygptian War in 1882 although it was made c.1856.
