Description:An English earthenware watering pot from Westminster. The pot was used to water the front of shops. It has a large pear shaped swelling near the base and the base itself is perforated. The neck is short and narrow and red-brown in colour with traces of a yellow-green glaze. Water was held by covering the hole at the top with your thumb.
