Description:This silver inkwell was presented to Alderman W. Davis, the Mayor of Leamington Spa, by the Refuge Assurance Company in 1903. The engraved inscription reads: 'REFUGE ASSURANCE COMPANY / PRESENTED TO / HIS WORSHIP THE MAYOR OF ROYAL LEAMINGTON SPA / ALDERMAN W. DAVIS ESQ. J.P.. C.C. / BY THE LOCAL STAFF OF THE AVOCE CO. / AS A SOUVENIR OF THE PRIZE DINNER / 3RD SUCCESSIVE YEAR / FEB 1903 / R. BOWEN, WEST / LOCAL MANAGER'. The inkwell was made by Hawksworth Eyre And Co of Sheffield.
