Description:This book belonged to Mary Ellen Entwhistle, a student teacher at Lillington School. When she was a student, Mary was expected to make detailed notes of the lessons she was to give. This exercise book contains the lesson plans for science lessons, including the aims, matter and methods of the different lessons. The book is open at a lesson plan to teach about the cardinal points and includes a drawing of a weather cock and the North Star. Mary qualified as a teacher in 1901.
