Mayor Councillor Davidson presenting a tank-shaped casket to Field Marshal Viscount Montgomery, on 4 October 1947.
The casket was probably modelled on the M7 Priest, a tank used by Montgomery in his African campaign during World War Two. It contained the honorary award of Freedom of the Borough. This photograph was produced for the Leamington Spa Courier.
