View of the Regent Hotel after the Parade entrance (west) was added in 1849. Pedestrains, horse drawn carriages and horses are on the Parade.
The firm of Day & Son was established by William Day Senior in the 1820s and was based in London. William Day Senior died in 1845, leaving the firm to his son, William Day Junior. The firm was then known as Day & Son until it went out of business in 1867. In the mid-19th Century Day & Son was one of the largest and most well known lithographic firms in the country.
