The caption below reads: 'Ruins of the Bridge on the Leamington and Kennelworth/ Railway where the Driver, George Rowley, and the fireman lost/ their lives by the Bridge breaking down as the Engine was/ passing over - on the 11th June 1861 -'. The driver, George Rowley, was from Preston in Cumbria and the fireman, John Wade, was from Weedon in Staffordshire.
