This engraving depicts a view of Lord Aylesford's Well in Leamington Spa. Two figures are standing near to the well, and a third appears to be using the pump.
In 1804 a Well House was built over the first saline spring in Leamington Spa, which was discovered on Lord Aylesford's estate. According to Lord Aylesford's wishes the well was freely accessible to all.
